Connect Google Search Console
See exactly what people search before finding (or missing) your store.
Why this matters
Search Console is Google's free report card for your website. It shows every search phrase that displayed your store in Google, how often people clicked, and where you ranked. Zylx uses it to find 'almost winning' pages — ones ranking 4th–20th that small changes could push to the top. This is usually the single fastest source of free traffic.
What it unlocks
- Search queries, impressions, clicks, and ranking positions
- Pages that get seen a lot but clicked rarely (title rewrite targets)
- Indexing problems (pages Google can't find or won't show)

Make sure your site is verified in Search Console
Why this matters: Zylx can only read properties your Google account already owns. If you have never set up Search Console, do this once first.
- Go to search.google.com/search-console and sign in with your Google account.
- If your store is already listed in the property dropdown (top-left), you're verified — go straight to step 2.
- If not: click 'Add property', choose 'URL prefix', and enter your full store address (e.g. https://www.example.com/).
- The easiest verification for Shopify: choose the 'HTML tag' method and paste the meta tag into your theme's theme.liquid <head> (Online Store → Themes → Edit code).
- Click 'Verify'.
Before you continue
- Your store appears in the Search Console property list

Click Connect in Zylx
Why this matters: Zylx uses its own Google application, so there is nothing for you to create, configure or copy.
- Open Zylx → Connections.
- Find Google Search Console and click Connect.
- Read what Zylx will access, then click Continue with Google.
- Sign in with the Google account that owns the property and approve read-only access.
Before you continue
- Google returned you to Zylx
Zylx only ever asks for read access to Search Console. It cannot change anything in your Google account. - 3
Choose your property
Why this matters: One Google account often owns several sites. You decide which one this workspace uses.
- Pick the property that matches this store.
- If your account owns exactly one usable property, Zylx selects it for you and shows you which.
- Click 'Use this property'. The first sync starts immediately.
Before you continue
- The card shows Connected with your property name
Troubleshooting
My property isn't in the list
Zylx only lists properties your Google account can read. Verify the site in Search Console first, or sign in with the account that owns it — click Reconnect to switch Google accounts.
A property is greyed out
You are not a verified owner of it in Search Console, so Google won't share its performance data. Ask the owner to add you, then reconnect.
It says reconnect required
Access was revoked at Google — usually after a password change or when someone removed Zylx in Google account settings. Click Reconnect; your history is preserved.
