Connect Claude or Claude Code

One secure OAuth connection can use every business you explicitly select.

Why this matters

Claude connects to the ZYLX Business Brain through browser-based sign-in. No bearer token, JSON file, or Shopify credential is copied into Claude. The connection receives only the businesses selected on ZYLX's approval screen, and owner-only actions remain owner-only.

    Start from Agent Servers

    • In ZYLX, open Agent Servers and expand the Claude or Claude Code card.
    • Copy the Server URL ending in /api/mcp.
    • Claude web/desktop custom connectors work on supported Claude plans. Team and Enterprise workspaces may require an owner to add the connector first.

    Add ZYLX to Claude

    • Claude web or desktop: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, then paste the Server URL. Leave automatic OAuth registration selected.
    • Claude Code: run `claude mcp add --transport http --scope user zylx-studio https://zylx.studio/api/mcp`, then open `/mcp` and choose Authenticate.
    • Claude opens ZYLX in your browser. Sign in there; never paste a ZYLX password or access token into Claude.

    Choose businesses and approve

    • ZYLX lists only businesses your account can currently open. Owner and member capability are shown beside each one.
    • Select all is an explicit snapshot of the businesses listed today. A business created or shared later is never auto-added.
    • Approve read access. Owner-only writes remain unavailable on member businesses even if they are readable.
    • You can change this same connection later in ZYLX → Agent Servers → Manage businesses; no duplicate connection is needed.

    Verify the same connection across businesses

    • Ask: ‘Which ZYLX businesses can you access?’
    • Ask about one business by name, then another, then ask Claude to compare exactly those two.
    • Ask for a portfolio overview. Every result remains tagged with its business and freshness.
    • In Agent Servers, remove one business while Claude stays connected, then ask again. It should disappear immediately.

    • Portfolio answer is workspace-tagged
    • Removed business is denied

    Run your first AI audit

    • In Claude, paste this starter prompt:
    • "Use ZYLX Studio to audit my Shopify store and identify the highest ROI SEO, conversion, content, and revenue opportunities."
    • Claude will call your ZYLX tools, run the audits, and explain the results in plain language.
    • Read-only connections make zero durable business changes. Actions require the relevant ZYLX scope, role, policy, and approval state.

Troubleshooting

  • Claude shows the connector but says Not connected

    Choose Connect/Authenticate, complete the ZYLX browser sign-in, select at least one business, and return to Claude. Agent Servers shows whether authorization and refresh are healthy.

  • Claude cannot see a new business

    New businesses are intentionally not auto-granted. Open Agent Servers → Manage businesses, select it, and save. The same connection gains access immediately.

  • Claude Code browser sign-in returns invalid_client

    Update to the current ZYLX deployment and retry Authenticate. Loopback callbacks must match the DCR registration exactly; do not replace the callback URL manually.
